LONDON — It’s been a horrendously long 10 months, but the finish line is finally in sight.
We’ve had frustrating teaser images, frustrating teaser trailers, frustrating actual trailers, and now — brace yourselves — we have some frustratingly thin details about the start of season six.
On Friday morning, the Independent reported that HBO had released the title and a short synopsis of episode one, as well as a description of the upcoming season. Let’s tackle them one by one…
Title: “The Red Woman”
There’s only really one person this title can refer to, and that’s Melisandre. The same Melisandre who’s currently at The Wall with everyone’s favourite is-he-isn’t-he dead bastard, Jon Snow. Also the same Melisandre who presumably possesses similar Lord of Light-given powers to Thoros of Myr, the Red Priest who brought Beric Dondarrion back from the dead. Read more…
