Lively protesters demand $15 minimum wage outside Fox News' GOP debate

A large, boisterous group of peaceful protesters has encircled the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, where Thursday night’s GOP Debate on Fox News was to be held.

The protest, originally planned by groups led by Fight for 15, an organization calling for a hike in the United States’ minimum wage to $15, also included protesters drawing attention to the ongoing water crisis in Flint. 

The protest, which had begun earlier in the evening and had wound through the streets of Detroit, had reached the Fox Theater by 7 p.m. local time, a few hours ahead of the debate. Read more…
