IKEA rides into flat pack transportation with its own bicycle

Trips to IKEA are regularly marked with impulse buys, but you could be riding one of your purchases home next time around.

The Swedish furniture chain has released its first flat pack piece of transportation, the SLADDA, a bicycle designed for easy maintenance and city riding.

It’ll be available in Australia from September, however in IKEA’s home country of Sweden they’ll get to ride one of these from August.

The SLADDA’s frame is all-aluminum, with a driving belt that’s designed to be rust resistant, with adjustable handlebars, plus a double kick stand so it can be steady when loaded. Read more…
