This is a tricky, deeply personal balance, one that some critics say is impossible to strike.

Yet if feminists refused to participate in traditions or institutions that treated women poorly, they couldn’t meaningfully participate in society.
That’s why feminists like Liz Susong have decided to reclaim the act of marriage so that it reflects their values and beliefs.
