Hellish spaceships, laser thrust race cars and hologram dancers offer mini sci-fi epic

But now that special effects software and film tools are now not only more affordable for indie productions, but also more sophisticated, a quiet shift is happening in the world of short films and music videos. That shift is giving birth to amazingly well done short form works that rival the work of Hollywood. The latest example is Turbo Killer

Directed by Paris-based Seth Ickerman, the music video for the electronic music band Carpenter Brut is a brief dip into what first appears to be hell, but later turns out to be something more in the realm of science fiction.
