Everlast blasts 'scumbag' Donald Trump for using 'Jump Around' at rallies

Everlast — the man who brought you “Jump Around” with House of Pain — is not happy that Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has apparently been playing the 1992 hit at his rallies where, among other activities, people occasionally get punched in the face.

The rapper/singer-songwriter took to Twitter on Monday to call Trump a “piece of sh*t,” a scumbag and a “racist lying dipsh*t” and threaten to send him a cease and desist for using “Jump Around” at his rallies without his permission. 

This is hardly the first time artists have attacked Trump for using their songs. In September, R.E.M. did the same with “It’s the End of the World (As We Know It),” with frontman Michael Stipe saying, “do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign.” Aerosmith were a little more subdued when they requested he stop using “Dream On,” saying that his use of the song “gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump’s presidential bid.” Read more…
