MILWAUKEE — Donald Trump’s latest incendiary comments seem to be taking their toll in a state that prizes politeness — and some Republicans think they’re finally seeing the beginning of the end for the once-teflon front-runner.
Trump roared into Wisconsin by vocally defending his controversial campaign manager even after he was charged with battery for allegedly grabbing a female reporter.
He went out of his way to pile on insults of the state’s Republican heroes, Gov. Scott Walker and House Speaker Paul Ryan. He stumbled through an interview with the state’s top right-wing radio host, not realizing he was part of the #NeverTrump movement until too late. He mocked the looks of Ted Cruz’s wife. Read more…
