British lawmakers use Brussels attacks to settle political scores

LONDON — It didn’t take long for British politicians to turn the twin attacks in Brussels in which 34 people died into a political football.
The country is exactly three months away from deciding if the UK’s existing relationship with the European Union should stay as is or come to an end.
Shortly after attacks that killed 34 people and injured hundreds others, the right-wing UK Independence Party, which is backing the British exit from the European Union known as Brexit, used the attacks in support of their views, prompting criticism from many. Read more…
