Australian mayor creates an awful song to make a serious point

March 1, 2016 - Uncategorized

If rap group Die Antwoord happened to be in a regional town in Australia and tried to make a protest song, this is the tune they’d probably make.

In reality, this rather awful track is penned by Dubbo mayor Mathew Dickerson, who is against a “ridiculous” plan to amalgamate two councils, Dubbo and Wellington, currently up for debate. Hence the “No Dubbington” portmanteau.

We have to admire Dickerson’s innovative method of protest, although we do worry this might inspire more terrible songs to flood the Internet.
