Australian bank creates an LGBT-inspired branch for Sydney Mardi Gras

What started as the GAYTM, a set of very colourful automatic teller machines, has gone full rainbow for this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Australian bank ANZ have completely revamped their Oxford St branch in Sydney to help celebrate the city’s biggest LGBT event, naming it the ever-fabulous GAYNZ. The redesign also commemorates the 10th anniversary of the bank’s sponsorship of the event.

The branch is inspired by baroque art, with dabbles of rainbows and nods to LGBT culture. Two GAYTMs are featured at the front, with the inside decorated with ornate walls, a marbled floor and 16 murals created specifically for the branch. Read more…
