A very bad criminal tried to sell a stolen Emmy award on Craigslist

These thieves cleaned up at the Bad Criminal Awards.
Documentarian Brett Hansen was heartbroken when one of his Northwest Regional Emmy statuettes (he’s won two) was stolen from his apartment in Olympia, Washington. Hansen didn’t expect to see the award again — and law enforcement wasn’t hopeful either.
But they didn’t count on such brash criminals.

On a whim, Hansen decided to search for “Emmy” on Craigslist. Sure enough, the missing statuette immediately popped up. It was listed for $3,500. Read more…
