A $99 per month lunch membership just launched in NYC

The last $5 lunch we had in NYC involved multiple slices of dry $0.99 pizza. Good luck finding anything cheaper

MealPass is trying. The meal planning startup, which will launch in New York City on Wednesday, according to Eater, allows users to pre-order lunches and pick them up in a jiffy, for $99 per month.

Cofounded by Mary Biggins, who first launched popular fitness class booking service ClassPass, MealPass partners with select restaurants using the same model. After subscribing for the month, users can view menus each evening via the web (no mobile app), place their lunch order by 9:30 a.m. the following morning and pick up their meal midday. Each restaurant offers one lunch item per day of its choosing.
