Two weeks after she got engaged and two months after her 29 birthday, Kaitlin Hennemuth Reap was diagnosed with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. In order to bring some humor to her diagnosis and to “create a target” for all of her fears, she named her tumor “Dave.” She also became involved with Cycle for Survival, a national movement to beat rare cancers. Though she lost her battle, her loved ones carry on her legacy.
