Are ISPs lying about internet speeds? New Yorkers are being asked to help decide

How many times have you tweeted or called your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to complain about the speeds you’re getting? It’s rare that the speed you get is what the company has advertized, so New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has decided to try and resolve this. He is asking residents of New York to run a speed test on their connections and submit the results to his office.
