Archbishop of Canterbury finds out he was conceived in a drunken 'liaison'

LONDON — The archbishop of Canterbury has found out through a DNA test at age 60 that his biological father isn’t who he thought it was — he was actually conceived in a drunken “liaison.”
The Most Reverend Justin Welby said the revelation was a “complete surprise,” according to the Telegraph. The paper had presented him with research suggesting the link, and he decided to take the DNA test.
The DNA analysis determined that his father wasn’t whisky salesman Gavin Welby, who was married to his mother Jane Williams. Instead he is the child of civil servant Anthony Montague Browne, who served as personal secretary to Winston Churchill. Browne died in 2013. Read more…
